Neelum-Jhelum

The Neelum-Jhelum project, located in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, aims to generate 969 MW of electricity by harnessing the power of the Neelum River. The engineering significance of this project lies in the tunnel construction and the use of tunnel boring machines to divert the river’s flow into a power station. Additionally, the project has a complex design to manage water flow while reducing the environmental impact.
