I am a Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Mechatronic Engineering at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Ireland, with a strong academic background in electronic and photonic engineering, holding a PhD with Distinction in Photonic Engineering, an MS with High Distinction in Electronic Engineering, and a BSc in Electronic Engineering awarded with a Silver Medal. My technical expertise encompasses photonics, fiber optic sensing, metamaterials and metasurfaces, telecommunications, biomedical sensors, laser systems and applications, electromagnetic design, optical communications, advanced manufacturing, material processing, machine learning applications, and intelligent transportation systems. Throughout my career, I have held academic and research positions across Ireland, Malaysia, and Pakistan, gaining extensive experience in teaching, research, innovation, and industry collaboration. I have authored and co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed international journal and conference publications, co-invented three patents, and successfully supervised and co-supervised numerous PhD, Master's, and engineering research projects. My research has contributed to advancements in sensing technologies, biomedical devices, photonic systems, and autonomous vehicle applications. In addition, I serve as an External Examiner for higher education institutions and regularly review manuscripts for leading international journals published by IEEE, Optica, Elsevier, Springer, and MDPI. As an active member of several professional organizations, including Engineers Ireland, the Pakistan Academy of Engineering, IEEE, IAENG, and the Pakistan Engineering Council, I remain committed to promoting research excellence, engineering education, innovation, and international collaboration in emerging technologies.
